William & Mary Wing Chair
HANDMADE TO ORDER
Based on an original dated circa 1690, our William & Mary wing chair is very special. Its upholstery has been modified significantly, given the original had straw and hair stuffing. The frame is made from solid beech, and the showood is spliced into the frame. We use a European Walnut for the showood. Each leg, stretcher and centre finial is turned and carved by hand.
The chair is available in two finishes, the first with a hand-sewn rope or trim detail. The second finish is with individual hand nails which run around the whole of the outside back, arm faces, and wings.
The seat has now been fully sprung as opposed to webbing, so very comfortable.
This design is available to any seat height, being popular as carvers at a dining table or as a statement piece for entrance halls, libraries or living areas
You have a choice of over 30 wood finishes to choose from, or we can match them to your colour or finish sample. Available with or without castors.
Specifications:
General Dimensions - W 83cm x D 79cm x H 127cm
Seat Height - 49cm
Fabric Requirement (plain) - 7m
Patterned fabric may differ due to repeat size, please enquire for more information.
